Top-Cast film

ROP Top-Cast film is a proprietary multi-layered, non-laminate film and is produced using the top-cast system, with a unique seal layer.

Top Cast is principally intended for use in the food industry. It can be used on a wide range of products, increasing shelf life and optimizing the quality of the packaged goods at relatively low cost.

Product characteristics

• Range of thicknesses to meet product requirements (20-80 microns)
• Can be used with various packaging machines, including automatic thermoforming machines and tray-coating machines. (e.g. FlowPack)
• Reduced delamination effects (separation of layers)
• Barrier qualities adapted to product requirements, allowing moisture retention over time
• Decurling - production method that prevents curling of layers
• Wide sealing 'window', allowing a range of lock-sealing possibilities or peelable closures (for different materials: PP, PE, PS, PVC, PET, Aluminum), depending on user and product requirements
• Low sealing temperature which reduces machine time and mechanical wear and tear
• Good strength and puncture resistance
• Resistant to grease, oil and chemicals
